MECHANICAL

Before reconditioning, I drove the car back "as is" from Los Angeles to Phoenix and pushed it pretty hard across the desert. It ran straight and strong, no drips, no overheating, no noises, no engine lights or other issues. Now fully serviced by my pro mechanic shop, LSX Motorsports in Phoenix, it performs really well. 9 of 10. New sound-dampening carpet installed. Elegant original black leather seats and door panels show little wear and have been detailed. All gauges, switches, courtesy lights, vanity mirrors, climate control, window/seat motors, dash controls, clock, etc. are functional. Original AM/FM/CD stereo. PB, PS, PW, PDL, 8-way power front seats, power heated mirrors, power trunk release, tilt, cruise, overhead console with universal remote capability, multiple reading lamps.

EXTERIOR

10 of 10. The body was in really good shape with straight panels and gaps and no dents. But there were enough paint flaws here and there to warrant a full body repaint in correct Silver Birch Metallic. Then added black pinstripe, new chrome grille and bumper moldings. Also, new crystal clear LED headlamps and tail lights. Original windshield, window glass, and weather stripping are very good. Trunk is clean with mini-spare and jack.

Undercarriage has been fully reconditioned to an astonishing “Barrett-Jackson” level that you will not likely find on any Grand Marquis anywhere (see photos). Engine bay is fully dressed and detailed.

INVESTMENT

This pristine Grand Marquis is an example of the same strategy I have stuck to for fifteen years, restoring over 90 cars for buyers worldwide. IMHO these last generation Grand Marquis' have reached the bottom of their depreciation curve, and are rising in value as knowledgeable investors move in. Now’s the time.
