MECHNICAL

Before restoration, when I drove the car back from Los Angeles to Phoenix, I pushed it pretty hard, cruising at 85-90 mph for 350 miles across 105 degree desert, in order to reveal possible issues. It ran straight and strong, no drips or overheating, no noises, engine lights, or other notable issues. Car has now been fully serviced by my pro mechanic shop, LSX Motorsports in Phoenix, and performs flawlessly in town and on the highway. Repair and maintenance work accomplished:

9 of 10. Beautiful new sound-dampening carpet installed. Elegant original black leather seats show little wear. All gauges, switches, courtesy lights, vanity mirrors, climate control, window/seat motors, dash controls, clock, etc. are functional. Original AM/FM/CD stereo. PB, PS, PW, PDL, 8-way power front seats, power heated mirrors, power trunk release, tilt, cruise, overhead console with universal remote capability, multiple reading lamps.

EXTERIOR

10 of 10. The body was in really good shape with no accidents and very straight panels and gaps. But there were enough paint flaws here and there, so we decided to do a full body repaint in factory correct Silver Birch Metallic. Then a fresh black pinstripe was applied, along with a new chrome grille, new chrome bumper moldings, and new crystal clear LED headlamps and tail lights. Original windshield, window glass, and weather stripping are excellent. Undercarriage has been fully reconditioned to astonishing “Barrett-Jackson” level that you will not likely find on any Grand Marquis anywhere. Engine bay is fully dressed and detailed.
