Legendary Lincoln body-on-frame panther design, 4.6 liter V8, 239 hp, 287 torque, 9.4:1 compression, 3.27 final gear ratio, dual exhaust, Top speed 133 mph, 18/23 mpg. These Town Cars are proven workhorses, used for decades as livery service and luxury hotel cars, and can easily run 500,000 miles. Parts are easily available and will be for years. The air ride shocks and tuned suspension provide an agile, stable feel that make this the ultimate road trip car and fun to drive!
 
EXTERIOR
9.5 of 10. Glossy original silver paint. Body panels and gaps are smooth and straight. Very nice original grille and chrome trim. Full cut-buff-polish makes the pristine original paint pop. Original xenon headlamps and tail lights are crystal clear. Windshield and all window glass and weather stripping are excellent (small repaired star in windshield).

Engine bay is fully dressed and detailed. Huge 21-cubic-foot trunk is pristine with mini and full sized spare. Undercarriage is in "Pebble Beach Concourse" condition as photos show. Floor pans show original glossy paint. Factory marks and tags are all visible. Stunning!

 

INTERIOR
9.5 of 10. Seats, door panels, carpets, headliner, and all other interior finishes are in very nice condition. Even the drivers seat shows almost no wear. These are dead quiet cars with almost no road noise. All dash and overhead console features, gauges, switches, lights, signals, climate control, cruise control, and window / seat / heated rearview mirror motors are fully functional.

INVESTMENT
Last generation Town Cars have left the bottom of their depreciation curve and are rising in value. Two low-mileage examples just hammered on Bring-a-Trailer in November and December for over $16,000 and over $21.000. Now's the time.
